The sports parts of Toyota RAV 4 are designed with the help of the racing department of this brand, which are called TRD for short, and unfortunately, this new version will be released in Japan until further notice. With the recent changes and developments, the Toyota RAV 4GR Sport has lost its family character and has become a street sports car.
It should be noted that the 2026 Rav4 model will reach the American market by the spring of this year, and its early release in Japan has given TRD engineers a good opportunity to implement their ideas. The current changes of Toyota’s popular SUV will not be limited to changes in appearance, but also include technical specifications and under the hood.

We already know that the front spoiler, side skirts and rear diffuser with their gray trims have given this product a violent look, but we must also mention the revolution that took place under the hood. One of the most important of these positive developments is the GR performance shock absorbers, which reduce vibration and increase the car’s compliance. These changes can improve engine performance and provide better output.
Technical capabilities and price
Toyota RAV 4 is a plug-in hybrid SUV, which is equipped with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine with three electric motors. In total, this system is able to produce 324 horsepower and allow the Ravfour to accelerate from zero to 100 km in 5.4 seconds. At the current stage, Toyota managers have focused on the development of electric and plug-in hybrid models, and in order to achieve this goal, RAV 4 has been released with plug-in hybrid power.
The important thing is, Toyota GR should not be confused with models like GR86. In general, the GR models focus on minor improvements in appearance and not so deep upgrades. The base price of the RAV 4 plug-in hybrid is $38,700, and the sports version of the GR will be $40,700.
