With the introduction of the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung introduces a new generation of artificial intelligence-based phones. In addition to supporting third-party AI tools, this family also has several new dedicated AI features. Let’s take a look at these features below.
The Galaxy S26 Standard, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra phones use Gemina’s artificial intelligence like the previous generation, and this service has had some interesting improvements. Additionally, Samsung has announced a partnership with Perplexity to bring this tool to its phones.
1. Jeminay finishes things now
Gemina is now more than just a chatbot and can use apps for you. Still in beta, the feature, codenamed Bonobo, allows Gemina to perform multi-step tasks that even require switching between multiple apps.

This version of Gemina is only available on the new Galaxy S26 series, and previous Samsung phones do not have access to it. Additionally, in the beta phase, only users based in the US and South Korea can use it.
To use this feature, for example, it is enough to say: “Reserve the nearest Uber to take me home.” Gemina will then open a secure virtual window and check the various options for booking a taxi. Meanwhile, you can do other things. Finally, you will receive a shipping notification and final confirmation.
2. Big update to Circle to Search
Circle to Search has evolved from a quick search tool to a full experience similar to Google’s AI Mode, which can interpret an entire scene in an instant. Now, instead of identifying an object, you can draw a circle around an influencer’s outfit and get information about it. Next, you can do a virtual pro and see how that dress looks on your body.

In another example, you can draw a circle around a set of plants or animals and ask Gemina to describe the conditions of that ecosystem.
3. Edit images and Now Nudge
Samsung has made improvements to its AI-powered image signal processor. Now the camera can record the skin color more naturally and the details more accurately. Image and video editing has become easier.
Photo Assist goes a step further with the ability to edit images through natural language: just describe what you want. For example, you can turn a bright daytime image into a dark one at night.

The Now Nudge feature also tries to provide useful suggestions without distracting the user. For example, if a friend asks you to take a picture you took from your recent trip, the Galaxy S26 will automatically scroll through the gallery so you don’t have to leave your work and search for the picture for your friend.
4. Now Brief

Now Brief is evolving into a more personalized and proactive assistant that provides reminders tailored to your daily tasks. Instead of waiting for you to go to your calendar or emails, this tool shows you important events like ticket bookings and schedule changes.
5. Bixby and Perplexity
In the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung has gone back to Bixby and put a hand on it. This artificial intelligence assistant has now become a more efficient agent that understands natural language. Bixby can go into the settings of the phone and change the options required by the user.

Perplexity is another smart assistant that Samsung offers in its flagships. This AI can be activated through a voice command or pressing a button and perform various tasks for the user.
6. Control and privacy
Due to the activation of agents, several safety measures have been devised so that the control and transparency of affairs remain in the hands of the user. Accordingly, the user can take control of automatic actions at any moment. Additionally, Gemina will never make a payment or approve anything without final user approval.
Google also says the screenshots it takes of the page may be reviewed to improve the accuracy of the image system by human trainers, but the user can opt out at any time.
7. Call Screening

The Galaxy S26’s Call Screening feature, which uses artificial intelligence, can detect unknown callers and provide the user with a summary of the purpose of their call. This feature will probably be welcomed by many users to get rid of spam and advertising calls.
