Samsung has just introduced the new generation of its flagships. Meanwhile, the standard version of the Galaxy S26 comes with a larger 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display and a 4300 mAh battery. Its bigger brother, the S26 Plus, still uses a 6.7-inch screen and a 4,900 mAh battery. The thickness of the base model is 7.2 mm and its weight is 167 grams, which indicates a very small increase in weight. Samsung has dropped the base 128GB storage and both devices now arrive with at least 256GB of storage along with 12GB of RAM.

These products will be launched in North America, China and Japan with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, but other regions will get the version equipped with the native Exynos 2600 chip. The manufacturer has promised a 19% increase in CPU performance and a 24% increase in graphics performance. The triple camera system of both models including a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x zoom remains unchanged. In terms of power supply, the wired charging speed in the Galaxy S26 remains the same at 25W, while the S26 Plus model supports 45W wired charging and 20W wireless charging.
Software facilities and artificial intelligence have made significant progress in this series. Faster neural processing has enabled voice commands to be executed twice as fast. The auto-framing feature can crop 8K videos and deliver a flawless 4K output. The advanced stabilization feature also provides 360-degree horizon lock for more stable videos. Using a personal data assistant, the user interface scans messages to automatically extract appointments and organizes screenshots into 8 different categories. The selfie camera is also equipped with a new subject recognition engine to record higher quality images. Audio noise cancellation technology is also now available in third-party apps such as YouTube.

Another important change in this family is the increase in the price of new versions compared to the previous generation. According to the official list published, the 256GB version of the Galaxy S26 will be sold at a price of 1000 euros, which is more expensive than the figure of 960 euros last year. The 512 GB model of this device also costs 1200 euros. On the other hand, buyers must pay 1,250 euros for the 256 GB version of S26 Plus and 1,450 euros for the 512 GB model. The pre-sale of these smartphones has started in the four main colors of white, blue, purple and black, and they will be officially available in the global markets from March 11.
