While it hasn’t been long since Sony’s recent State of Play, in a sudden move, the company has announced the release date for Marvel’s Wolverine. Without releasing a teaser, trailer, or anything else, Sony revealed the Wolverine release date last night: September 15, 2026.
The move to announce the release date of the game is so unexpected, that PlayStation fans are thinking about the reasons for announcing this date. Wolverine is probably going to be PlayStation’s biggest game this year, and Sony is quietly announcing the game’s release date without a trailer or teaser or anything.
Of course, we know that the process of making the game is going well, and surely not only the game development studio “Insomniac Games” will realize this date, but without a doubt, during a State of Play program in June, the complete gameplay of the game will be shown, and after that, Wolverine’s extensive advertising will begin.
However, the announcement of the game’s release date has led to speculation that Sony wants to end the many discussions about its recently shuttered studio, Bluepoint Games, by saying, “Look, we’ve got a lot of good games and cures in the works that just happen to be coming out soon.”
We are confident that Insomniac Games, which has been one of the main pillars of the current generation, will provide an unforgettable experience with Wolverine, both for PlayStation and even for the entire generation, however, we still don’t even know if the game will be open-world or linear like the Spider-Man series, we just know that violence will be an important part of this Wolverine.
A useless teaser has been released to announce this release date, which we have included below.
The Wolverine game will be released exclusively on PlayStation 5 on September 15 (24 Shahrivar 1405).
