It looks like one of Vivo’s phones will soon join the growing list of smartphones that use batteries with a capacity of 10,000mAh or more. According to a whistleblower, the company is already testing such a device.
In a post on Weibo, a leaker called Digital Chat Station announced that Vivo is testing a phone equipped with a silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of 10,000mAh.
According to this whistleblower, the mentioned device uses a single-cell silicon battery with a voltage of 4.53V, whose nominal capacity is 10000mAh. At the same time, the normal capacity of this battery will be between 11000mAh and 12000mAh.
The possibility of the release of this Vivo phone in the near future seems low, because the device has to go through extensive testing. Also, this model is not expected to be in the flagship category and may be launched as a mid-range product or in the form of iQOO series.
In the past two months, several smartphone manufacturers have introduced devices with 10,000mAh or higher batteries. Honor unveiled the Win and Win RT models with a 10000mAh battery, and then introduced the Honor Power 2, which is equipped with a 10080mAh battery. We can also mention the Realme P4 Power, which houses a 10001mAh battery.
