Donald Trump announced that he intends to ask the US Department of Defense and other related institutions to begin the process of identifying and releasing government documents related to extraterrestrial beings, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) and unidentified flying objects (UFO).
In a message on his social network, Trump wrote that he will ask the Secretary of Defense and other officials to “begin the process of identifying and releasing government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena, and unidentified flying objects.”
His comments came after Barack Obama’s comments about aliens being “real” in a podcast went viral. Obama said: “They are real, but I haven’t seen them” and emphasized that there is no evidence that they are kept in a place like “Area 51”.
Trump accused Obama of leaking classified information on Thursday, telling reporters on the presidential plane, “I don’t know if it’s real or not,” adding that he might get Obama “out of trouble” by declassifying the documents.
Obama had previously stated that he has not seen evidence of extraterrestrial contact with humans, but statistically he considered the possibility of life in the world to be high.
