The Verge website reported that Bing’s chatbot technology, which was previously exclusive to Microsoft’s Edge browser, is now available for Chrome and Safari. A Microsoft spokesperson said: “We’ve made the Bing chatbot available in Safari and Chrome as well so that more users can access it. We will make it widely available after the standard testing process.”
Although there are currently restrictions on the use of this chatbot in Chrome and Safari, it seems that a large number of users have gained access to it. To use it, you need to sign in to your Microsoft account. Of course, its requests are limited to 2000 characters instead of 4000 characters in Edge. Also, conversations are reset after asking 5 times, instead of 30 times, and you are constantly asked to install Edge.
Bing chatbot uses OpenAI’s ChatGPT-4 language model, which allows users to access more features without having to pay. Meanwhile, the Bing chatbot has access to the Bing search engine and you can get more up-to-date information for your questions.
Microsoft has also introduced a dark mode for the Bing chatbot. To use it, click on the hamburger menu on the top right of the screen and select the “Appearance/Darkness” option. Of course, this feature may not be available for some users yet.
