We’ve heard a lot of conflicting rumors about Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series launch plans in rece mohs.
The rumors ranged from speculation of an early December 2025 launch to a late March 2026 launch, and you probably won’t be surprised to learn that the most likely date now is somewhere in the middle of that range; although it is considerably closer to a later date.
This series will probably be iroduced on February 25 (March 6). Technically, this date isn’t firm yet, but it might be the closest we can get to an official date. Several Korean media reports floated the February 25th date last week, and now Ivan Blass has announced that the date is 100% correct and you can cou on it. This level of confidence from a person whose information is correct about 99% of the time can be good news. So basically all that’s left is for Samsung to confirm the date.
That probably won’t happen tomorrow, though, as February 25 is still seven weeks away, and Samsung is expected to unveil its next generation of flagship phones on a Wednesday (like last year’s Galaxy S25 family or 2024’s Galaxy S24).
It should be noted that the S25 and S24 families were unveiled in January, which allowed for an earlier global sales start than what is currely expected of the Galaxy S26 series. Even the Galaxy S23 series was unveiled on February 1, 2023, and we on sale a few weeks later, so while Samsung has managed to somewhat avoid the long delay of the S26, which some inside sources considered inevitable, it seems that the new phones will reach the global market a little later than the previous generation.
So when will the Galaxy S26 Ultra go on sale? Probably in early March. If we wa to give a more accurate prediction based on rece history, March 13 is likely, but March 6 is also possible. And of course, none of these dates should be considered “definite”.
The reason why Samsung is not ready to unveil the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus and S26 Ultra by the end of this moh is not clear, but there may be a serious problem in their hardware. Therefore, we should not yet rule out the start of sales of these phones 7 or 10 days after the unveiling on February 25 (06 March), although it is better to be patie.
However, Samsung can’t do too much wrong after launching the S26 series a little later than the high expectations of its fans. So I hope that the rece rumors about a price increase compared to the Galaxy S25 family will not come true after all.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra’s late launch and exorbita price tag will undoubtedly make it very difficult to compete with the iPhone 17 Pro Max, let alone fend off the immine threat of the iPhone 18 Pro Max and the first-generation iPhone Fold.
