Rumors are rife that Apple will finally step into the world of foldable smartphones next year with what we’re calling the iPhone Fold, though it’s still unclear what the official name will be.
Today on Weibo, a Chinese leaker known as Digital Chat Station decided to share more details about the device. According to him, the iPhone Fold will have a fingerprint sensor on the side, just like other book-style folding smartphones.
Reports indicate that this device will lack Face ID and fingerprint sensor under the display. The folding screen of the iPhone Fold is said to measure 7.58 inches in diameter and include an under-display selfie camera, while the front screen or cover measures 5.25 inches in diameter and has a punch hole for its selfie camera.
The iPhone Fold will apparently have two rear cameras, at least one of which has a resolution of 48 megapixels. Analysts predict that the iPhone Fold will revive the foldable phone market when it launches in 2026. Maybe foldable phones will finally enter the mainstream market.
