Google has added a new feature to Gemina that can tell users which image is real and which one is created by its own artificial ielligence.
According to Android Police, after the iroduction of Nano Banana Pro, which is supported by Geminai 3 artificial ielligence model, Google announced that the ability to recognize images produced by artificial ielligence will also come to Geminai application.
With Gemina, you can see if an image is generated by artificial ielligence
With the increase in the use of artificial ielligence tools for image production and their more realistic and high-quality, the need for tools to check whether the images are fake or real is felt more and more. Considering that Google is one of the main players in the artificial ielligence market, and most of the images produced by artificial ielligence are created by the company’s models, Google iends to help users ideify whether an image is real or fake. For this purpose, this company has placed its SyhID Detector tool in the Geminai application.

Of course, this feature has a fundameal limitation and it can only detect whether the image in question was produced or edited by Google’s own tools or not.
Google artificial ielligence tools mark the images produced by artificial ielligence with SyhID technology. These signs are undetectable to humans, but are easily detected by SyhID Detector. Since the iroduction of the technology in 2023, more than 20 billion AI-generated coe has been watermarked, and of those 20 billion, all AI-generated images can now be ideified and watermarked directly in Gemina.
To use this new feature, it is enough to upload the desired image in the Gemina application and ask: “Is this image produced by artificial ielligence?” Finally, you will be notified if this image was generated by one of Google’s own tools.
