According to the Mehr News Agency, quoted by the Rianavosti news agency, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Peter Siarto, announced his consultation with the American and Russian officials this Friday.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Sziarto announced that he had a discussion with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau regarding the preparations for the Russia-US meeting in Hungary.

In this regard, he said that the work on organizing the meeting between the leaders of Russia and America has started.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said yesterday that the meeting between Putin and Trump could be held a week after the meetings between the foreign ministers of Russia and the United States.

US President Donald Trump also said yesterday: “My phone call with President Putin was fruitful and our success in the Middle East will help the negotiations to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.” I believe that my contact with President Putin has made great progress. I spoke with President Putin about doing business with Russia after the end of the war in Ukraine. We agreed to hold a meeting with our senior advisors next week. The senior advisors meeting with Russia will be chaired by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
