According to RCO News Agency, Mohammad Reza Aref said at a meeting of the technology development staff and the application of artificial intelligence, saying that the country’s acceleration in the field of advanced technologies should be several times the existing situation, saying: “Our goal is to achieve the goals of the 5 -year vision document in emerging technologies; That is, we must reach the first place in this area within three years.
The first vice president added: “We are lagging behind in the application of emerging technologies in different parts of the country, so we need to focus more seriously on the operationalization of these technologies.”

“We have to make sure that we are in the right direction to achieving the goals of the Seventh Progress Plan in the field of emerging technologies and act in a way that reports on progress every month,” he said. The country’s capacity in this field is high; We have an educated and motivated young people that we need to open the field for them to move the country towards progress.

“We need to fully benefit from the scientific capacity of all universities and research centers and utilize the country’s scientific capacity to meet the needs of the people,” Aref emphasized the need for greater government engagement with universities, research centers and knowledge -based companies to develop and apply emerging technologies. Our nation is grateful and we must serve emerging technologies in the welfare of the people.

The first vice president noted: “The use of artificial intelligence needs to be prioritized and policymaking and the ethics, security, privacy and decentralization should be taken into account.”

Addressing Dr. Afshin, Vice President of Science, Technology and Economics of the Presidential Base, he emphasized: After the division of national labor, the implementation programs of each device in the field of technology development and application will be submitted to the government within two weeks. The priorities of the Technology Development Staff and the use of artificial intelligence should also be determined based on the country’s macro policies.

Aref also called for a specific mechanism for demand and data submission by executive agencies to use national artificial intelligence platforms.

The meeting presented a report on the initial version of the National AI, as well as the Assistant to the Minister of Petroleum, and the attendees made their views and suggestions to improve its quality.

Afshin, Vice President of Science, Technology and Presidential Economics, said: “Our goal is to create a national platform for artificial intelligence, speeding up efficient services to the public so that they can voluntarily use these services.” In addition to reducing costs, the platform will also help protect the country’s data.

The government has also begun itself and is trying to implement artificial intelligence assistants in various parts of the executive agencies to make the use of artificial intelligence in people’s lives.

For this purpose, the trial version of the National AI, designed in accordance with Article 5 of the Artificial Intelligence Document, was presented at the meeting.
