The Chinese automobile company Dongfeng recently introduced a new compact SUV under the Aeolus brand called Haohan. The SUV, which is based on Dongfeng’s DSMA 2.0 platform, is considered part of the Chinese automaker’s plan to launch environmentally friendly electric and hybrid vehicles. In fact, Haohan is the first car of this new Dongfeng program and the first car built on the DSMA 2.0 platform, and within the next 3 years, at least 8 new hybrid or electric cars will be launched by this company.

Sports elements are evident in the design of Dongfeng Aulus Haohan, which shows that this product is designed and prepared with a focus on the younger generation. Some of the key features that shape the exterior of this Chinese SUV include slim headlights, inverted trapezoidal grille with a star matrix design, black roof and pillars, tail lamps, a prominent roof spoiler as well as quad exhaust tailpipes. The plug-in version of the Haohan hybrid also has a closed front grille.
With 4653 mm length, 1886 mm width, 1730 mm height and 2738 mm wheelbase, Aeolus Hauhan is classified as a compact SUV. The rims intended for this Chinese SUV are in three sizes of 18, 19 and 20 inches.
Dongfeng has provided its Mach engine for all Aeolus Haohan SUV versions. The gasoline version relies on a 1.5-liter engine that produces 200 horsepower. Both hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions are powered by a 1.5-liter engine along with an electric motor. The hybrid version with this drive system has the ability to produce about 290 horsepower and 565 Nm of torque, while the plug-in hybrid version produces a total of 355 horsepower and 615 Nm of torque. The power transmission of these two hybrid versions is entrusted to a four-speed DHT gearbox.
According to Dongfeng, Haohan can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6 seconds with its hybrid engine. In addition, the range of its hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions is estimated to be 1200 and 1350 km, respectively.
