Apple plans to sell the Vision Pro headset by appointment first in its stores to ensure that it best meets the needs of customers. This headset will then be widely available in global markets from the end of 2024.
Bloomberg reported that the high cost of Vision Pro and the need to customize it for each user made selling this headset a big operation. Therefore, those who intend to buy this headset should make an appointment in advance. In the US, every Apple Store will have a dedicated Vision Pro section to try it out.
Apple is also developing an iPhone app and a physical device that will scan customers’ heads before purchasing the Vision Pro headset. These features will be offered first in the largest stores or stores located in important locations such as Los Angeles and New York.
Despite the difficulties of customizing the Vision Pro for each buyer, Apple will start selling the headset in its online store in early 2024, Bloomberg said. Then it will expand to other online stores and we will see its global launch from the end of 2024.
Apple has not yet decided which countries the headset will be sold in, but it is apparently customizing it for France, Germany, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Korea.
