US President Donald Trump said he was very unhappy with his recent phone call with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin about Ukraine.

In an interview with reporters after leaving Andrews’ joint base in Maryland, on the flight to Badminester, New Jersey on the Presidential Air Force Van plane, Trump added: “It is very difficult. I told you that I was very unhappy with my phone call with President Putin. He wants to go to the end and just continue killing people, that’s not good.

He said he wants to settle the Ukrainian conflict but cannot guarantee it. “Ukraine’s situation is related to Joe Biden (former US President) and I just try to find a solution,” he said.

Reuters also quoted Trump as saying that Ukraine will need Patriot missiles in its air defense system.

The US president also claimed: I talked to President Putin about Russian sanctions and he is concerned about these sanctions.
