We haven’t used the content of users to teach artificial intelligence

The SoundCloud Music Sharing Platform has announced that it has not used users’ content to teach artificial intelligence models so far, and if it decides to do so, users will be able to withdraw.

According to him, the changes to the use of the service were only to clarify the possible interaction of users’ content with the internal artificial intelligence technologies of the platform. Greenberg emphasized that the current applications of artificial intelligence in SoundCloud are limited to areas such as personalized suggestions, content organizing, identifying violations and dealing with fraud.

In the updated text, the conditions of using SoundCloud, the content that users have uploaded, can be used to develop artificial intelligence technologies, except for separate agreements with intellectual property owners such as great music publishers. People like Ed Newton, a technology expert, have criticized the changes without proper information and said they had received any emails about the announcement.

Given that many major platforms have changed their policies for artificial intelligence education in recent months, concerns about the right to ownership and transparent information to users have increased.

In a recent statement, SoundCloud emphasized that if any use of users’ content to train manufacturing models, it will definitely introduce clear withdrawal mechanisms and will remain committed to protecting the rights and information of its creators.
