Galaxy Zed Fold 2: Samsung targets folding problems

For years, Samsung seems to have been content with minimal upgrades on its flagship folding phones as if he knew the formula as perfect and there was nothing to do. But in fact, despite the impressive Galaxy Zed Fold series, there has always been a great place to improve, and with the Samsung Galaxy Zed Fold, we may eventually see a lot of meaningful upgrades.

Samsung Galaxy Zed Fold 4 will have many improvements, including better resistance to water and dust than its predecessor. In fact, we have no complaints about the resistance to the Samsung Galaxy Zed Fold 2, but it desperately needs a good amount of dust resistance, so this seems promising.

Apparently, the Samsung Galaxy Zed Fold 2 will also have a new 2 -megapixel camera that should be of great progress over the 2 -megapixel main camera used in the Fold 2 (and two previous generations). Smaller folds have also been mentioned, which should help reduce one of the main problems of folding phones, and the camera underneath the display seems to have been upgraded, which is good news because the cameras under the Samsung screen did not perform well before.

Other improvements include a more powerful display of 2 -inch folding screens and a larger 5.5 -inch cover (from 4.3 inches and 4.3 inches in the Galaxy Zed Fold 2) and an extremely 2.5mm slim design (reduced by 3.5 mm). The Samsung Galaxy Zed Fold 2 should also be powerful because not only apparently will be unexpected to have a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, but it is also said to have a larger steam compartment that should help keep it cool under pressure to keep its peak performance better. This should also help battery life, which is good news because folding phones usually have relatively small batteries.

In fact, there is no mention of the battery here, which may mean that its size will not increase, but it will seem to have a speaker and a vibration engine and run the One UI 8, which is the Samsung version of Android 16. So if this leak is accurate, there is a lot of upgrades, and it will probably be accurate as some parts, including the 2 -megapixel Snapdragon 8 Elite chip camera, were previously suggested by other sources.

The point we are more skeptical of is the improved resistance to water and dust because Samsung Galaxy Zed Fold is currently sufficiently water resistance (although some phones, such as the OnePlus 13 with IP69 rating), and we assume that improving the resistance to dust will be difficult because it will be difficult. However, we will notice within the next few months as the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will probably be released in July with the Samsung Galaxy Zed Flip.
