Enthusiasm New image production abilities in Chatgpt Both more accessible and more advanced has forced Openai to “temporarily” impose a “temporary” restriction on the number of image production requests, according to CEO Sam Altman. He wrote in X yesterday: “Seeing people in ChatGpt is really fun, but our graphics processors are melting.” Altman did not specify exactly what this restriction was, but said the conservation action was not going to continue for a long time, as Openai is trying to increase its efficiency against the huge volume of requests.
This demand pressure earlier led the Artificial Intelligence Company to delay access to internal image production tools for free ChatGpt users. But it seems that the decision alone has failed to reduce the load on Openai infrastructure. (Altman said free users can produce up to 3 images a day.)
Openai uses the Gpt-4O model for improved image production. The works created by this model are often more realistic than ever before – though it can be directed in a variety of ways – and this new model has also made some progress in previous challenges such as text display. The company described it as a “big step” compared to previous models. But restriction again shows how much technical (and energy) image production in ChatGPT needs.
