Google released a statement on Friday that the Jamjan artificial intelligence assistant will replace Google Assistant later this year.
Google announced in a blog post that Jamna’s artificial intelligence will replace Google Assistant Digital Assistant in the coming months. So late in the year, most smartphones will no longer support Google Assistant and will not be available through app stores. The company went on to say:
“We are trying to expand jams on other devices, such as tablets, cars and devices that connect to your phone, such as headphones and clocks. “By adding this assistant to home devices such as speakers, displays and TVs, we bring a new experience to users.”
Google has announced that it will share more details with users in the coming months and will continue to operate until then. The company noted that new features such as music playback, timer support, and the ability to take direct action from the user lock screen to improve the user experience before the Google Assistant stopped.
Setting up Assistant is not a shocking decision. Google had previously launched its Pixel 6 smartphone series with Jammeh’s artificial intelligence assistant. Referring to the advanced and superior capabilities of Jamna, the company has announced that the artificial intelligence assistant provides help and information on a topic using new methods through tools such as Gemini Live and Deep Research.
