The Genesis G70 is the oldest and most low -selling model of the brand in Australia, and although globally from a saved production stop, its future is still unclear.
In an interview with Australian media, Mike Sung, the world’s chief of the world, said:
“It all depends on the market, we have not yet stopped producing it. We have also not yet announced what the next generation of the G70 will look like. “
He continued.
“The G70 is very important to us, because it was our first model and are still customers who are interested in this car and want it. So its production continues. It’s not time to make the decision for the next generation of the G70. “
Despite the popularity of the sedans in South Korea, the sales of the G70 in the country have fallen sharply. Production began in year 6 and is now one of the oldest models in the sector.
In Australia, the car had the lowest sales among the Genesis models, with only 4 units delivered to customers. However, in global exports, the G70 was the third best -selling model after the GV70 (with 4.3 units) and GV80 (with 4.3 units). It was also the third best -selling Genesis in the US market.
Australian Genesis chief Justin Douglas confirmed that the company will continue to launch them in the Australian market as long as the sedan production continues.
Globically, Genesis has announced that it is satisfied with its current composition of its passenger and chassis cars, as well as electric and gasoline models. In addition, Mike Sung has confirmed that, unlike the previous announcement, the brand would not be fully electric by year 3.
Currently, the brand’s global product portfolio includes the G70, G70 G80, G80 and G90, as well as the GV60, GV70, GV80 and GV80 coupe.
Genesis has confirmed several times that all of its models will receive a powerful version of the magma, but it is not yet clear that the Magma G70 has been approved for mass production.
Sung said about this
“We are investigating the demand in the market to see if the development of this version is justified. Currently, the project is in the process of reviewing. “
