Famous Salama: There is no mechanism to reopen roads and streets in northern Gaza – Mehr News Agency | News of Iran and the World
According to RCO News Agency, Salameh Marouf, head of the Palestinian Government Information Office in Gaza, told Al -Arabi Network that the return of refugees to northern Gaza is still ongoing despite the harsh conditions. Refugees travel more than 5 kilometers on the roads destroyed by the occupation’s military machinery.
He added: North Gaza lacks the necessary facilities to welcome refugees. In northern Gaza there is no fuel and public transport to facilitate the movement of refugees. 5 % of people who return to northern Gaza have no home.
The head of the Palestinian Government Information Office in Gaza said: “We have submitted urgent requests to provide tents to accommodate people returning to northern Gaza.” Not even a liter of fuel, gas or houses are ready for refugees. We have received only 4 tents on the pretext of transportation to Gaza.
He added: “A comprehensive response should be given to the humanitarian needs for the resettlement of the refugees.” There is no mechanism to reopen roads and streets in northern Gaza. We expect refugees to move north to the north than the first day. More than 5 children are lost on their way to the north.
