OpenAI has a new feature called Tasks It has launched as an experiment in ChatGPT, which allows users to schedule their tasks with this chatbot.
According to the Verge report, the new Tasks feature is now available as a beta for Plus, Team and Pro subscribers. This new feature now makes the chatbot more like a traditional digital assistant like Google Assistant and Apple’s Siri.
With Tasks, users can plan and schedule their tasks in ChatGPT and this chatbot will remind them. For example, this chatbot can tell you the weather every morning at 7 o’clock, or remind you when your passport expires. In fact, ChatGPT can now perform tasks you assign to it, either once or on a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis.
New Tasks feature in ChatGPT
To use this feature, subscribers must select the “4o with scheduled tasks” option in the ChatGPT models section. Then, on the page that opens for you, you can set what ChatGPT should do and its time. Now, if you talk about a specific task while chatting with ChatGPT, the chatbot will ask if you want it to remind you of it in the future.
All the tasks you have assigned to ChatGPT will also be available through the new Tasks section in the menu, and you can change or cancel them; Of course, for now, the settings of this feature are only available in the web version, however, after applying the changes, the notification of what you need to do will be shown in the mobile or desktop application. Also, currently you can only give ChatGPT 10 tasks at a time.
It is not yet clear when this feature will be available to the public for free, although it may be limited to paid users. We still don’t know how reliable ChatGPT’s performance will be for scheduled tasks. Of course, Tasks is currently in beta and may have bugs.
