The head of Alborz Cultural Heritage Directorate announced the final preparation of Sulaymaniyah Palace for reopening.
Nader Zinali, pointing out that the final stages of Sulaymaniyah Palace’s preparations for reopening are underway.
The palace will be reopened to the public as a museum of Qajar paintings, and for this purpose, interactions are planned to improve the protection and maintenance of the palace in cooperation with the Faculty of Agriculture. Of course, the complete restoration and preparation of the palace in all dimensions needs to define more restoration phases so that in addition to the restoration of the pond discovered on the south side of the palace, the reconstruction of the eastern tower can also be done in the future.
Zinali pointed out that Sulaymaniyah Palace is a valuable heritage capacity of Alborz province and stated:
This palace with its special architecture and having the only existing wall painting of Agha Mohammad Khan, the founder of the Qajar dynasty, can be a place for those interested in history and culture.
