Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company xAI is testing a standalone iOS app for its chatbot, Grok. This chatbot, which was previously only available to X social network users, now wants to attract more users.
According to TechCrunch, this new application is currently available in beta form in Australia and several other countries and allows users to take advantage of the features of this artificial intelligence.
The application can access live data from the web and X platform and offers features such as paraphrasing, summarizing long paragraphs, and Q&A functionality. Additionally, Grok can generate images from text commands. Using this chatbot, users can get detailed and useful answers, create attractive images, and use uploaded images to gain a deeper understanding of their world.
Expanding access to Grok AI
Previously, Grok was only available to paid subscribers of the x social network, but starting in November 2024, xAI started rolling out a free version of its chatbot, and in early December, this version became available to all users. This access change has created a great opportunity for more users to benefit from the capabilities of this artificial intelligence.
Also, xAI prepares the dedicated site Grok.com for web access to its chatbot. This site is currently unavailable but should be up and running soon.
One notable feature of Grok is its image generation model, which according to xAI, is very successful in realistic images. This chatbot does not impose many restrictions on the use of celebrity images and copyrighted content and allows users to create images with this type of content.
xAI’s move towards expanding Grok’s capabilities to various applications and reaching more users can greatly help the development of this artificial intelligence.
