Samsung, which has just launched the beta version of One UI 7, has described some of the new features of this user interface in its recent blog post.
According to Samsung, Personal Data Engine and Now Bar are new features that will be available to One UI 7 users. These features are focused on enhancing user privacy and displaying real-time information and notifications, and can add a more enjoyable user experience to the upcoming series of Samsung flagships.
One UI 7 gets several artificial intelligence features
The first feature introduced by Samsung is called Personal Data Engine. This feature is a significant improvement in the privacy protection of users of Galaxy devices and can ensure the protection of cross-app personal data on the same device.
Samsung adds that Knox will still manage users’ personal data with an encrypted key, but the Personal Data Engine feature can create a new layer of protection for users’ data using post-quantum encryption. According to Samsung, post-quantum encryption can increase the security of users’ data against quantum threats.
The second feature is called Now Bar. This feature can integrate the daily tasks of users and their most used applications in the lock screen. The Now Bar feature will appear as an oval notification at the bottom of the screen. It takes the data already on your device and gives you live suggestions or information based on the activity you’re doing. provides Now Bar may use Galaxy AI to recognize your activities.
Let’s say you’re getting ready for a trip, while the Now Bar tells you when to go to the airport or what the weather is like.
According to leaked information, Samsung is expected to unveil the new Galaxy S25 series of flagship phones on January 22, 2025 (3 February). Simultaneously with the release of these devices, we should also wait for the release of the stable version of One UI 7.
