The MyHeritage app has just introduced a new artificial intelligence feature that allows users to turn their old photos into short clips.
According to PetaPixel, this feature called LiveMemory is now available to users in the MyHeritage application. MyHeritage is a family history platform that helps people discover their family history, build genealogies, and find their family ancestry through genetic testing.
The MyHeritage app introduced the ability to convert old photos into short videos
The LiveMemory feature introduced in the MyHeritage app uses artificial intelligence to animate images, simulate scenes and create new gestures. This feature first analyzes the images uploaded by users to find the most suitable animation for it.
Also, in the images where several people are present at the same time, the MyHeritage application algorithm applies different movements on the image so that the people in the photo can interact with each other in the most realistic way possible.
But interestingly, the short videos produced by this artificial intelligence look so real that it is really hard to recognize them.
According to Gilad Jaft, founder and CEO of MyHeritage, LiveMemory enables anyone to relive memories captured in photos and feel closer to loved ones or even ancestors they’ve never met. He also went on to say that their goal at MyHeritage is to inspire people to connect with their family history in new, exciting and meaningful ways.
In addition to the LiveMemory feature, the MyHeritage application also offers several other features based on artificial intelligence; For example, you can retrieve your old family photos or even estimate when the photo was taken.
