Cuba condemned the US veto of the Gaza resolution
In messages, the Cuban president and foreign minister condemned the new veto by the United States on the draft ceasefire resolution in Gaza.
According to Isna, the President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, condemned the use of the right of vetoash by the United States regarding the UN Security Council meeting held on November 20 regarding the cease-fire in the Gaza Strip.
Miguel Diaz said in his comments on the X social network: America once again destroyed the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and this confirms that this country’s actions are contrary to what it said.
The Cuban president added: Washington claims that it wants to end Israel’s genocide in the Gaza Strip, and here it once again uses the “veto” in the Security Council against the ceasefire resolution. He called for an end to Israel’s escape from punishment.
In this context, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Paria strongly condemned on the X social network (Twitter) the action of the United States in vetoing the resolution of the UN Security Council regarding an immediate, permanent and unconditional ceasefire, as well as sending humanitarian aid to Gaza.
According to ACN News agency, he further wrote that this action by Washington shows the collusion and involvement of the United States in the genocide of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people.
The draft resolution of the UN Security Council was accompanied by the approval of 14 members of this international body, which demanded an unconditional ceasefire and the release of all Zionist prisoners, as well as the arrival of full-scale humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
In its veto, Washington claimed that it could not support the unconditional nature of the ceasefire, and Russia accused the United States of creating an obstacle over months of efforts to resolve the crisis and the disastrous situation in Gaza.
On Wednesday, the United States vetoed the draft resolution proposed by 10 countries that demanded an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
In more than a year since the Gaza war, the United States has vetoed several Security Council resolutions in support of the Zionist regime and prevented the end of the war.
This is the fourth time that the United States has vetoed the draft ceasefire resolution in Gaza.
