According to predictions, Apple’s M4 Ultra chip can be a real monster and beat Nvidia’s RTX 4090 graphics card.
If you follow technology news, you know that this Cupertino company has recently unveiled its new generation MacBook Pro equipped with M4 chip. This chip provides much better performance than many of the current flagship chipsets in the laptop market, including the M2 Ultra chip, and has much more power. Of course, Apple has also introduced three different models of its M3 chipset; But what fans of this company are waiting for the most is the M4 Ultra chip, which is supposed to provide a stunning improvement in processing and graphics.
In this context, a well-known YouTuber has recently claimed that he expects the M4 Ultra chip to perform much better than Nvidia’s powerful RTX 4090 graphics card in OpenCL and Vulkan tests.
Powerful Apple M4 Ultra chip from NVIDIA RTX 4090 graphics card!
Apple’s M4 Pro and M4 Max chips already have a lot to say and have succeeded in surpassing AMD and Intel’s flagship processors with their excellent performance. In addition to the processing power, these chipsets also appear stunning in graphics performance and have surprised many experts. In particular, the score of the Apple M4 Max chipset in the Geekbench 6 benchmark is equal to 192812, and accordingly, it is predicted that the M4 Ultra chipset can beat the flagship of Nvidia’s graphics cards, the RTX 4090 model.
As predicted Max Tech YouTube channelConsidering the performance of the M4 Pro and M4 Max chips, Apple’s M4 Ultra chip will be able to register a score of more than 330 thousand in the Geekbench benchmark. This channel also claimed that by analyzing the graphics performance of the Pro and Max models of the M4 chip, it expects the graphics processing power of the Ultra model to be about 78% more powerful.
If the graphics performance of the M4 Ultra chip is even 70% more powerful than the top score offered by Apple’s chipsets so far, this chipset will easily be able to surpass Nvidia’s RTX 4090. In this context, one of the whistleblowers on Twitter announced the registration of 385,624 points by the M4 Ultra chipset; While the OpenCL and Vulkan scores of Nvidia’s RTX 4090 graphics card are 317162 and 262907, respectively, which clearly indicates the significant graphic superiority of Apple’s upcoming chips.
Of course, despite the fact that the predictions were made based on the scores recorded by the M4 Pro and M4 Max models, one more point should be taken into account when estimating the technical performance of the M4 Ultra chipset. Despite its exceptional performance, this chip does not have access to many detailed titles and graphics benchmarks in the world of computer games, and therefore its performance cannot be judged as it should be. On the other hand, Apple may also decide to limit the performance of this chip for several other reasons, which will result in the scores recorded by the M4 Ultra being lower than these predictions.
It should also be noted that these points were awarded to the M4 Ultra chipset based on one test only. However, other tests on this chip may tell a different story and give it higher or lower scores. Apple’s M4 Ultra chip is expected to be launched next year along with the new Mac Pro or Mac Studio models.
