Android 16 will be released much earlier

Google has officially confirmed that the Android 16 operating system will be released ahead of schedule.

Android 16 will be available on the AOSP open source platform and will start rolling out to Pixel devices on June 3, 2025. This date is 2-3 months earlier than originally planned. Also, Google has announced that the Pixel 9a smartphone will be launched next year.

By moving the release date of Android 16 to June, the possibility of errors during the release of new devices will be significantly reduced.
