Samsung launched the Galaxy A55 smartphone in March this year, and now there are indications that the company is working on the next generation of the popular series, the Galaxy A56. It is expected that this phone will be unveiled in the first quarter of next year.
Samsung plans to upgrade the selfie camera of this phone and use a new 12-megapixel sensor instead of the 32-megapixel sensor that has been used in the A5x series since the launch of the Galaxy A51 in 2019. Although exact information is not yet available on the similarity or difference of this new sensor with the sensor used in the Galaxy S series flagships, it will be a significant improvement over the previous generation.
However, the selfie camera seems to be the only upgraded part of the Galaxy A56 camera compared to the previous model. According to the leaked information, the 50-megapixel main camera, 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and 5-megapixel macro camera will remain unchanged. So, if you’re expecting to see the addition of a telephoto camera in the best-selling Galaxy A5x series, you’ll have to wait until the Galaxy A57.
