China’s Dongfeng Automobile Company unveiled the Xinghai S7 Forting sedan, claiming to be the world’s most aerodynamic electric car.
Forting is one of the economical and of course high-quality brands of Dongfeng Automobile Group, which is known in Iran with the Forting T5 car, which is actually the Lamari Ima Arian Motor. Recently, this company has introduced a sports electric sedan named Xinghai S7, which has acquired the title of the most aerodynamic electric car in the world with its special and eye-catching design style. In this section of the car news site Gadget News We introduce the specifications of this attractive product.
Introducing Xinghai S7, the world’s most aerodynamic electric car
This compact sedan, which was introduced in China at the beginning of Mehr 1403, uses a unified and very elongated design with a sloping windshield, a rear-type fastback design, and a rear window with the same arc as the front window. The special design of the rear part of the car has improved the amount of air pressure at different speeds and coordinated air penetration and breaking in the most aerodynamic mode possible.
The pop-out door handles, the special form of the side mirrors, and the almost closed tires of these cars allow it to provide a gap of air loss and turbulence in the upper half of the car and direct the air further under the car body. All these things made the CX drag coefficient equal to 0.191. This car has achieved the lowest drag coefficient among electric cars.
Dongfeng company has described the drag coefficient of this car as better than some gun bullets when fired. This expression shows the accuracy of Xinghai S7 sedan’s aerodynamic design. However, there are still many questions regarding the efficiency of this car and the advertising slogans raised by the Dongfeng management team.
The length of this car is 4940 mm, width is 1920 mm and its height is less than 1500 mm. Also, the distance between the axles of this car is 2920 mm. Although its length is nearly 5 meters, the special shape of the rear part has made the trunk have a good space. The trunk capacity of this sedan is 541 liters.
The driving forces of Xinghai S7
This car is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor located on the rear axle with a power of 220 hp and a torque of 310 Nm. The drive is powered by a 56.8kWh Lithium-Iron-Phosphate (LFP) battery that offers a range of 555 km (345 mi) according to the values confirmed in China’s CLTC test cycle (which is more generous than the WLTP). .
