In an innovative move, Infinix is developing a smartphone that, according to informed sources, will be the thinnest smartphone in the last five years. This news was published after the unveiling of the Infinix Hot 50 5G phone. Currently, the title of the thinnest smartphone belongs to the Tecno Camon 11 series, which, like Infinix, is a subsidiary of Transion. Tecno Camon 11 series was introduced in 2018.
According to Tekna Technology Media’s mobile news service and based on the reports published in the Passionategeekz news site, the new Infinix phone will have a thickness of only 6 mm. This magazine has also published images of this phone that show its significant difference from the iPhone.
In the published images, the new Infinix phone has a curved display with a 3D glass coating. The overall design of the phone, with its curved back panel and narrow middle frame, has given it a very beautiful and modern look. Although only the back panel of the phone is visible in the images, it bears similarities to the design of the Infinix Hot 50 5G phone. The rectangular camera module with three sensors and LED flash is one of the distinctive features of the back panel of this phone.
The use of silicon carbon battery cells is one of the main reasons for the thinness of this phone. These cells have a higher energy density than the graphite cells that are commonly used in lithium-ion batteries, allowing for smaller, higher-capacity batteries.
Published comparison images show a significant difference between the thickness of the new Infinix phone and the iPhone Pro/Pro Max series phones. For example, iPhone 16 is 7.80 mm thick and iPhone 16 Pro Max is 8.25 mm thick. According to the published images and rumors, Infinix is expected to unveil this smartphone soon. However, more technical details about this phone are yet to be released.
