He told The Verge in January that Meta will have more than 340,000 Nvidia H100 GPUs by the end of 2024. These chips, which are used to train and deploy artificial intelligence models, have now become attractive products for technology companies.

Meta also plans to take a different approach than its competitors in the field of artificial intelligence such as OpenAI. The tech giant has so far taken an open-source approach to AI development, and in July released Llama 2, a largely open-source AI model.

Mark Zuckerberg told investors last year that, in terms of priority, artificial intelligence is the biggest area of ​​meta investment in 2024.
