Earlier this summer, Elon Musk launched a new artificial intelligence company called xAI. Now he has announced that the company is preparing to launch its first artificial intelligence model.
Mask in a post from X social network announced that the xAI company is going to release this model on Saturday, November 13, for a “selected group” of users. He claimed that the technology was “in some important respects the best there is.” However, it is not yet clear which select group will get access to it.
The goal of Elon Musk’s newly founded company
However, the first version of Musk’s newly founded artificial intelligence will be released tomorrow. Launched last July, the company is on a mission to understand the “true nature of the universe”. However, Musk later explained that the main goal of xAI is to make a “good AGI” that is “truth-seeking” and has a high level of curiosity. He said the company will address scientific questions and try to understand what’s going on in the world.
Elon Musk is also one of the founders of OpenAI, the maker of the artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT, which he later split from and has had problems with. He has repeatedly expressed concern that this model is unfair. He had also claimed to be working on an artificial intelligence called ‘TruthGPT’ to deal with such problems.
Musk’s new AI will likely be a competitor to GPT models, along with Google’s PaLM 2 and Meta’s Llama. The world’s richest man also apparently hired former members of Google’s DeepMind AI research unit, Manuel Kruis and Igor Babushkin, to develop this AI model.
