Kerman Motor, which currently has products such as KMC K7, KMC J7 and KMC T8 in its product portfolio, unveiled another new product named A5 during the Mashhad Motor Show. In the past, Saif Khodro had offered the older model of the same crossover, which is actually the same G01 from the Chinese automaker SWM, as an assembly in the Iranian market; But after the obstacles placed on Saif Khodro to continue the supply of this car, Kerman Motor has taken over its production. Introducing KMC A5

The KMC A5 is a rebadged version of the G01, or more precisely, the G01 F-Edition from the Chinese automaker SWM. Of course, to learn more about this company, it should be mentioned that SWM was originally an old Italian motorcycle manufacturer named SV.VM, but the Chinese company “Shineray” eventually bought it and formed a joint venture with Brilliance to produce new products. established under the SWM brand.

SWMG 01 design

Kerman Motor is bringing the sporty performance-oriented F-Edition version of the G01 to the market, which, as expected, has a more youthful and exciting design. Its standard version, in the form of an urban Chinese SUV, which has been a few years since its initial release, has its own charm with elements that Iranian motorists like, such as a large grille with chrome trim and all-round taillights. However, the F-Edition takes a different approach to design that, to be fair, is significantly different from the standard version; This is especially true for its front design.

KMC A5 is 4670 mm long, 1855 mm wide and 1740 mm high with a 2750 mm wheelbase. This car has a two-part grille in the front; The upper part is integrated with the aggressive headlights, and on both sides of the lower part there are air intakes. The shape of the headlights of this crossover is also similar to Audi products, especially its Q series SUVs; Of course, these similarities to western products are not a new thing for Chinese products.

In the side view, the black pillars, the chrome trim around the windows and the prominent smooth lines passed by the doors attract attention. The rear area has practically the same combination that we have seen before in the standard version; That is, in this area, the same double-headed lights with a wide chrome strip connecting them are still used. However, with a different design of the rear bumper, new fake intakes and a large diffuser, the G01F now has a sportier rear end that complements the design of the front end.

In the cabin of KMC A5, unlike other new Chinese crossovers in the market such as Lamari Emma and Tigo 8 Pro Max, there is no dual screen for the multimedia system and amp screen. Instead, in the center of the dashboard, there is a 10-inch touch screen dedicated to the multimedia or information and entertainment system, and at the same time, the touch panel of the ventilation system is installed at the bottom. Behind the steering wheel of this crossover, another display is found as a fully digital amp panel. Another feature that needs to be mentioned in the interior is the rotating electronic gear shifter in the central console, which makes the design of this section more up-to-date.

Based on the version of A5 that was present at the Mashhad Auto Show, the seats of this Kerman motor trim product have black and red colors with red stitching; Of course, this combination adds to the sporty effect of the interior. This red trim can be seen in parts of the dashboard, including around the air vents and center console. It should be mentioned that the central console has a design similar to carbon fiber and even this design can be seen on the door panels. All in all, the new KMC product has a cabin with a sporty atmosphere and minimal day-to-day features.

5 Kerman Motor SUV uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder in-line engine that can produce 155 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque. The task of transmitting the driving force of this engine is in charge of a 7-speed double clutch gearbox, and the destination of the driving force is the front axle. In the past, Saif Khodro had offered this crossover with the same engine, but it had considered a 6-speed automatic transmission. The fuel consumption of this low-volume turbocharged engine is estimated at 9.6 liters per 100 km.

Because in terms of design, it has enough capacity to attract buyers.

This crossover is sold in China at a price between 14,000 and 18,000 dollars, and after taking into account additional costs, it is expected to be sold in Iran at a price of 1.5 billion tomans.
