Rumor: iPhone 18 Pro Max will have great battery life

A well-known whistleblower named Digital Chat Station has claimed that the iPhone 18 Pro Max will be equipped with a battery with a capacity of 5100 to 5200 mAh, which is slightly better than the 5088 mAh battery of the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

In addition, the iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to be more energy efficient than its predecessor. This phone is likely to come with Apple’s new A20 Pro chip, which will be manufactured using TSMC’s 2nm manufacturing process and will be significantly superior to the A19 Pro chip in terms of energy efficiency.

With the combination of the higher battery capacity and higher efficiency of the chip, you can expect the iPhone 18 Pro Max to easily last between 1.5 and 2 days on a charge, depending on usage.

Even if these reports are true, the iPhone 18 Pro Max probably won’t be the phone with the biggest battery on the market. Apple’s folding iPhone called iPhone Fold, which is rumored to be introduced next to iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in the fall of next year, will probably use a battery with a capacity of about 5500 mAh.

However, it is still too early to say for sure which of these phones will have better battery life. The iPhone Fold will have a much larger 7.8-inch screen in the unfolded state, and this can cause more energy consumption and faster battery drain compared to the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
