The head of Iran’s Industrial Development and Modernization Organization promised that the decrease in car production in the past months will be compensated by the increase in circulation in the last months of the year.
According to the latest automobile news, Farshad Moghimi, the head of Iran’s Industrial Development and Modernization Organization (IDRO), announced a 7% decrease in automobile production in the first 9 months of this year compared to the same period last year, and emphasized that this drop in production should not be considered alarming. Because the set of new policies of the Ministry of Security and the country’s major car manufacturers are being implemented to compensate for this delay until the end of the year.
Reduction of car production under the influence of energy crisis
The head of Iran’s Industrial Development and Modernization Organization and Deputy Minister Sammat, referring to the production situation of the country’s car manufacturers, announced that although car production has decreased this year compared to last year, this decrease was more due to disharmony and energy restrictions than any other factor. He explained: “At some point in time, the reduction of gas and electricity in industries caused the temporary stoppage of production lines, and these interruptions practically destroyed the golden opportunities of production.”
Moghimi emphasized: “The time lost as a result of an energy outage cannot be fully compensated, but with careful planning, we can compensate for a significant percentage of this delay.” According to Deputy Minister Sammat, now the ministry and car manufacturers are trying to bring the production circulation to last year’s level in the last months of the year.
Deputy Minister Samat added that an important part of these policies has already been formulated and its main goal is to maintain the continuity of production in the conditions of limited strategic resources such as electricity and gas. Moghimi also cited the official reports published in the Kodal system and announced that the three largest car manufacturers in the country, i.e. Iran Khodro, Saipa and Pars Khodro, were able to 897 thousand 627 devices Produce passenger cars. This figure shows a noticeable decrease compared to the same period last year, but according to him, with the acceleration of production in the winter, there is a possibility of compensating part of the existing gap by the end of the year.
