The Galaxy S26 series looks set to become old news even before its official launch, as the rumor mill has now turned to the Galaxy S27. One of the first claims is that all Galaxy S27 models will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite generation 6 Pro chip.
According to current information, it is possible that the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus will be launched with the 2nm Exynos 2600 chip in some markets. On the other hand, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to use the 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite 5th generation chip in all markets. With this background, it would make sense that Samsung would stick with Exynos for the base Galaxy S27 models in the next generation, but recent rumors suggest otherwise.
According to the claim of Digital Chat Station on the Weibo network, the next Samsung flagship, which is likely to be the Galaxy S27 series, will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite 6 Pro generation chip. More importantly, it is said that this chip will be produced based on Samsung’s 2nm GAA manufacturing process. This is in line with another recent report which indicated that Samsung may receive more orders in the 2nm area from Qualcomm.
Following these speculations, there is another rumor that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Generation 6 Pro may use Samsung’s Heat-Pass Block technology to push its operating frequency beyond the 5 GHz limit. Also, this whistleblower mentioned that the clock speed may even reach a range of 5.5 to 6 GHz. If this news is true, such specifications will place it in a very aggressive category in terms of processing power in the world of mobile chips.
However, all this information should be taken with caution. It is possible that the Galaxy S27 series will be launched entirely with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, but at the same time, it is also possible that the base models will be equipped with the Exynos 2700 chip; A chip recently spotted with a 10-core configuration.
At the moment, there is no detailed information about the final composition of the Galaxy S27 family. It is not yet clear how many models will be introduced in this series or whether Samsung will release a version called Pro or Edge or not. There are many open questions and considering that we are at least a year away from the official unveiling, we can expect more reliable rumors and reports to be published in the coming months.
