
The Information Technology Organization of Iran, affiliated to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in the framework of the national artificial intelligence division of labor and with the aim of organizing the ecosystem of this technology, published a call for the identification and evaluation of eligible companies and legal entities to receive an artificial intelligence operator license.
Implementation of the national division of labor of artificial intelligence
According to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, this call has been published following the expansion and universalization of artificial intelligence technology and based on the first vice president’s mandates regarding the division of national artificial intelligence work. Based on this, the Information Technology Organization of Iran has a mission to undertake the process of identifying and evaluating qualified activists in this field.
Basic conditions for obtaining an operator’s license
According to the information technology organization of Iran, companies and legal entities applying for an artificial intelligence operator license must have a history of relevant activity in this field and provide examples of successful projects. Also, having a network and technical, processing and storage infrastructures are among the other requirements to participate in this call.
Minimum processing power of 200 petaflops
In this call, it is emphasized that the applicants must have a processing infrastructure with a power of at least 200 petaflops and an accuracy of at least 16 bits. The ability to provide expert human resources, the ability to invest and the possibility of providing a variety of artificial intelligence services in different layers, from infrastructure to application, are among the other conditions announced to receive this license.
Deadline and method of sending documents
According to this call, the applicants can submit the required documents and documents to the Deputy of Basic Services and Digital Assets of the Information Technology Organization of Iran within 10 working days from the time of the publication of the call. The documents should be delivered to the secretariat of this organization at the address of Tehran, Shariati Street, before Seyedkhandan Bridge, entrance 22, central building.
