In the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Samsung has abandoned the titanium body and returned to aluminum. Read the details of this big change and its technical reasons in Gadget News.
A simple tweet from famous leakster Ice Universe has changed all perceptions about Samsung’s next flagship. New reports suggest that the Galaxy S26 Ultra is going to ditch the luxury titanium metal in a smart and strategic move back.
The naming of the new colors of this Samsung phone, i.e. black shade, white shade and galaxy blue, do not have the titanium prefix, which indicates a return to the resistant aluminum version 2.0.
The main reason for this decision is the heat control engineering of the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite 5th generation processor. With a staggering clock speed of 4.74 GHz, this chipset generates a lot of heat, and titanium traps it due to its low thermal conductivity. But aluminum dissipates heat about 15 times faster, which is critical for performance stability.
Say goodbye to the new Samsung flagship with heat
With this smart change, the weight of the device is reduced to about 214 grams, which makes it easier to use with one hand. Samsung realized that keeping the device cool all day long is more important than having a trendy metal frame for AI to run smoothly.
In addition to the change in the body of the phone, the One UI 8.5 user interface will also be accompanied by attractive changes in the camera department. Removing annoying menus and quick access to professional video settings are among these improvements. This Korean giant is supposed to officially unveil this product on February 25, 2026 (March 6, 1404) in San Francisco.
