According to the reports published in the domestic media, the filter removal committee has agreed to remove the restriction of Telegram messenger in its rece meeting after technical and legal reviews. This decision, if finalized, can be implemeed by Wednesday, January 3, 1404, and will allow free access of Iranian users to this popular platform after a long time.
In response to these speculations, Elias Hazrati, the head of the governme information council, announced that plans to remove the filter of some platforms are on the agenda of the governme, but the exact time is not allowed to be announced.
