In the continuation of the heavy competition with Safari and ChatGPT, Google opened a new trump card for Apple users. From now on, iPhone and iPad users can use Gemina’s artificial intelligence directly in the Google Chrome browser. Launched for desktop months ago, the feature now changes the web browsing experience on iOS, allowing you to ask questions or read article summaries without leaving the page.
According to 9to5Google, if you update your Chrome browser on iPhone, you will notice a small change in the address bar. The old Google Lens icon has been replaced by the Gemini star icon. By touching this icon, you can ask the artificial intelligence to summarize the long content of the web page in a few lines. You can also ask questions about anything you see on the page and Jeminay will answer them for you. This feature is very useful when you are in a hurry and want to quickly understand the gist of an article or news.

Although this tool is useful, it is still not perfect. Currently only supports English language; It is not active in Incognito Mode. Also, its capabilities are more limited than the full version of the Gemina website or application, and it focuses more on the analysis of the same web page.

To use Gemina in iOS Chrome, you must meet two conditions: download or update the latest version of Chrome browser from the App Store. You must be logged in with your Google (Gmail) account in the browser.
If you still don’t see the new icon, don’t worry. Google has announced that this feature will be gradually activated for users around the world and it may take a few days to reach your phone.
