Samsung Electronics has fully acquired FläktGroup, the largest HVAC company in Europe.
Samsung Electronics announced that by finalizing the purchase process, it has acquired the full ownership of the European company FläktGroup, the largest player in the field of air conditioning systems (HVAC) in the European coine; An action that strengthens the position of this technology gia in the global market of veilation and air manageme solutions for buildings.
Samsung announced that after acquiring FläktGroup, it will use the company’s production capacity and sales network to develop research and developme activities, strengthen the supply chain and gradually iegrate products and services in order to create the greatest synergy between the two groups. Based on this merger, all FläktGroup subsidiaries including Woods Air Moveme active in the field of veilation and fire safety, SEMCO specializing in air flow and moveme solutions, and SE-Elektronic providing advanced automation systems will be added to Samsung’s structure.
However, the FläktGroup brand name, curre manageme, staff and facilities of the company will be retained and will coinue to operate as an independe eity so that its brand ideity and technical expertise remain unchanged.
TM Rowe, director and head of Samsung’s Product Experience (DX) departme, described this purchase as a strategic move to strengthen the company’s position in the global market of air conditioning systems and data ceers, and said that by combining the technological power of FläktGroup and Samsung’s artificial ielligence platforms, new standards will be defined in the industry and more innovative solutions will be available to customers.
With the acquisition of FläktGroup, Samsung announced that it will develop its air conditioning business as one of the new growth engines in its product experience segme. The company plans to coinue investing in commercial HVAC solutions and expand its scope of activities io growing areas, including AI-based data ceers, to gain a stronger presence in future-orieed markets.
Poiing to the growing demand for large-scale air conditioning systems in Korea, North America and Europe, from factories and commercial complexes to marine industries, hospitals and biopharmaceutical facilities, Samsung said it plans to build a strong supply chain for each region and significaly improve its service delivery capabilities. The company also noted that it strengthened its presence in the North American market last year through the formation of a joi veure with Lennox, and the acquisition of FläktGroup is expected to further strengthen Samsung’s position in the global HVAC industry with the addition of the group’s extensive expertise.
Samsung also announced that it will explore new avenues to develop smart building solutions and improve energy efficiency by combining FläktGroup’s advanced HVAC corol systems with its building manageme platforms, including SmartThings Pro and b.IoT; An action that can become the basis for providing more iegrated and iellige services in commercial and industrial projects.
