The Samsung Galaxy S26 series of mobile phones will probably be released in early 2026. But it seems that Samsung will not make much progress on the camera of these mobile phones in order to reduce the final price of its product, so that we can see one of the most affordable flagship products of this company.
According to information leaked by the Korean publication The Elec, the Galaxy S26 series continues to follow the usual approach of releasing three different models of the same mobile phone. But rumors suggest a quiet change in Samsung’s plans to upgrade the camera. By not upgrading the Galaxy S26 camera and sticking to the technical specifications of the Galaxy S25 mobile phone series, this company intends to avoid increasing the final price of the product. The increase in the cost of parts in the world is another reason for this important decision of Samsung.
If such a claim is true, the Galaxy S26 might come with the same 50-megapixel known lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with three times more optical zoom. It is even possible that the specifications of the front camera of this mobile phone are similar to S25. Finally, reports suggest that technical improvements to the Exynos 2600 chipset could lead to a slight improvement in camera quality, but not a massive hardware upgrade.
The Elec magazine continues to look at how the Galaxy S26 will be launched, which still follows the same policy of three different models (Galaxy S26, S26 Plus and S26 Ultra). It looks like the Ultra model will go into mass production first, and the other two models will go into mass production early next year. Such details are probably one of the reasons that caused Samsung to postpone the global release of the Galaxy S26 to February 2026 instead of January 2026. However, it is not unlikely that the official unveiling of this mobile phone will take place in the next few weeks.
Although the S26’s camera upgrade isn’t very promising, the WinFuture website claims that Samsung plans to release Qi2-compatible cases and chargers with the new product. In fact, Qi2 uses magnets to charge mobile phones and connect other accessories. WinFuture says that all Galaxy S26 models will come with integrated and built-in magnets. These cases include magnetic silicone covers for all models, magnetic carbon cases for the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus, and a wide selection of clear and durable magnetic cases. There is also talk of a dual-ring magnetic holder, but its functionality is still unclear.
About charging speed, Galaxy S26 Ultra may support 25W wireless charging and Standard and Plus models support 20W charging. Additionally, Samsung is developing a 5000mAh magnetic wireless that supports Qi2 technology; Additionally, a 25W magnetic wireless charger is listed with the EP-P2900.
Finally, we should mention the anti-reflective protective layers for the screen of all three Galaxy S26 models. The Ultra model will likely feature anti-reflective Gorilla Armor glass, the same glass that has been the focus of developers in recent Galaxy generations. As usual, the S Pen is also expected to come with support for Bluetooth connectivity as part of an optional accessory for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
