Today, Hossein Afshin, the scientific vice president, in response to a question about receiving subscriptions by Iranian artificial intelligence chatbots and the scope of government surveillance, emphasized that these products belong to the private sector and the government cannot determine their business models; However, he considers quality improvement and monitoring to be an ongoing process.
According to the Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy of the Presidency, Afshin explained on the sidelines of the meeting of the Government Board on December 12: “Companies active in the field of artificial intelligence chatbots are “private” and determining the revenue model and subscription rights is their decision. “Over time, both service levels and regulatory frameworks are expected to improve,” he said.
Referring to the experience of foreign services, the Scientific Vice-President mentioned: “Many applications were not free at first, but after creating a market and achieving stable revenue models, they were able to provide free versions mainly through advertising.
According to him, Iranian chatbots should also move towards creating a market, attracting users and finding their own sustainable business model so that in the future it will be possible to provide free versions.
And in the end, he emphasized: “Completing the infrastructure of artificial intelligence and strengthening the economy of this area will play a fundamental role in providing high-quality and cost-effective services.”
