Deep Silver and KING Art Games have just released a story trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV, which introduces the playable Dark Angels and Primarch Lion El’Jonson.
The trailer begins by showing the arrival of the Blood Ravens under the command of Captain Cyrus and Jonah Orion into Kronos orbit at the beginning of the game. After a fierce battle in orbit with Warboss Gorgutz and his orcs, both factions crash to the planet’s surface; Where Guzcutta, the second in command of the orcs, is already waiting.
In another part of Kronos, a techno-archaeologist named Potentia Delta-9 is searching for the planet’s lost knowledge; While Chronomancer Thothmek begins the invasion of Necrons and awakens the sleeping tombs of Kronos to find secrets. The forces of the Imperium are pressed from all sides and their last bastion is crumbling, until at the last moment, it becomes clear that they are not alone and the Dark Angels arrive.

It is worth mentioning that for the first time in the history of Dawn of War, players can play with two different factions of Space Marines: Blood Ravens and Dark Angels, and the latter are completely playable in all modes of the game. During the Space Marines campaign, players will complete missions commanded by both Blood Ravens and Dark Angels, and can choose exactly which mission to play. Dark Angels not only have their own commanders (Company Master Astoran and Chaplain Ezrael) in the campaign, but also have their own identity and history. Although they share the same basic strategies, tactics, equipment, and weapons as the Space Marines, they also retain their unique abilities and group vibe.
While Blood Ravens usually engage in smaller, more tactical battles that sometimes involve stealth, Dark Angels bring their full force to bear on the largest battlefields. As the story reaches its climax, Lyne L. Johnson himself lands on the battlefield, and for the first time, players can experience the legendary power of a Primark Space Marine in an unforgettable ending.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV is scheduled to be released for PC in 2026. You can see the published trailer below.
