The group is focused on three priority areas, which can be called Capability Iegration, Software Developme and Technology Diplomacy, as Cecom calls it.
The formation and operational focus of the TFSS is directly aligned with the REJTF capability domain. The United States Special Operations Command (SOCCE) personnel is leading the developme of a squadron of one-way attack drones, and this is a priority for flexible tools that will be deployed as soon as possible.
The LUCAS UAV is described as an autonomous system with a wide operational range. Designed for low-cost precision strike, the drone will add another layer of lethality to Cecom’s array of unmanned systems operating in the region.
U.S. military officials believe these platforms will provide new options for targeting enemy assets while minimizing the risk to fighter or manned platforms.
While Cecom has yet to release footage or further details about the payload capacity or specific offensive capabilities of the LUCAS system, officials emphasize the task force’s role in getting these platforms directly io the hands of operators.
