Following the consecutive closure of schools due to air pollution in differe cities of Iran, the educational startup “Andrez” announces the registration of more than 18,400 questions in just 10 days; A figure that shows that part of the studes’ learning path has been transferred to the online space and artificial ielligence tools during the holidays. According to the data of this platform, from the beginning of October uil today, a total of more than 96,000 lesson questions have been registered in Andrez.
According to the statistics announced by Anders, 52% of the questions in these 10 days were se in the form of images (photos of exercises and book pages), 19% in audio or ieractive form, and 29% in text form; A trend that shows that for many studes, taking a picture of an exercise or asking a question verbally was the easiest and most natural way to ieract with the smart assista.
In terms of educational level, 44% of the questions were related to the primary level and 33% related to the first secondary level. That means, in total, nearly three-quarters of the users of this platform are studes of basic courses. Also, second secondary level with 20% and other levels and studes with 3% are in the next ranks.
In the discussion of lesson distribution, 38% of the questions asked were related to mathematics and 27% of the questions were related to experimeal sciences. The statistics show that the main and basic courses are still the main challenge for studes. After that, Farsi with 9%, English with 8%, Arabic with 6% and religion with 4%. Other courses have a total of 8% of the questions.
The peak time of using the instruction is also significa. 53% of the questions were recorded between 8 pm and 2 am; That is, when the reinforceme classes and school are usually closed and families and studes are busy doing homework and reviewing lessons at home. Geographically, the largest share of questions in the last 10 days was related to Tehran with 29% and Razavi Khorasan with 12% respectively. Also, the provinces of Isfahan with 8%, Alborz with 6%, Khuzestan with 5% and Qazvin with 4% are in the next ranks. 36% of the questions were registered from other provinces of the coury.
According to Enders, this platform has managed to attract 100,000 users since it started operating in October this year, and during the rece closures due to air pollution, it has experienced a 62% increase in registration compared to the previous two weeks. Also, active weekly users of Enders have grown by 47% during the rece shutdowns. In the field of answering quality, this startup says that 97% of questions received the first answer in less than 60 seconds.
The ieresting thing about this platform is the ability to read studes’ handwriting. A problem that is considered a challenge for almost any other artificial ielligence. Especially since the popular artificial ielligences these days do not officially support the Persian language, besides fully supporting the Persian language, Andrz’s artificial ielligence has also been trained to read the handwriting of Iranian studes.
This artificial ielligence is called “Andy”. An iellige assista that is trained based on the official coe of textbooks and the needs of Iranian studes and tries to provide answers according to the level, discipline and chapter of the book.
In the architecture of this service, features such as 3-2-1 structured answer (three key pois, two similar exercises, one common pitfall), learner memory (to recognize the learning pattern of each stude and suggest exercises based on his needs and learning weaknesses, as well as full alignme of coe with textbooks) have been included.
According to the managers of this startup, in rece days, Enders was not limited to answering studes’ questions and “more than 100 teachers” have also used this platform to ask questions about better learning methods for studes; This statistic shows that a part of the community of teachers is also testing artificial ielligence tools in addition to traditional classes.
Enderz’s ten-day report on the behavior of users during the shutdown due to air pollution shows that despite the disruption in face-to-face education, the demand for learning has not stopped and is migrating to new platforms; A platform that, if developed, can become a part of the complemeary infrastructure of formal education in the coury during similar holidays, exam season and even during the academic year.
