Poncle Studio has just unveiled Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard from Vampire Survivors, which is actually a roguelite deckbuilder spin-off from the successful Vampire Survivors game.
Vampire Crawlers takes place in the same world as Vampire Survivors and even uses the same characters, items, and in-jokes. However, its genre and poi of view are completely differe. In this game you choose a Crawler as a returning character from Vampire Survivors and eer the dungeons with him, build your deck of attacks and abilities and fight against enemies with your cards. There’s even a card customization system that changes the way you play. In the stateme of the producing studio, it is stated:
This is just a spin-off from Vampire Survivors, and hopefully the first in a series of spin-offs! Our idea is to take some of the main and random pillars that made Vampire Survivors, such as easy access, high speed, reasonable price, replay value, fan vibes, and tons of visuals, and apply them to other genres. We also plan to coinue supporting the game after launch and have thousands of ideas for this! Crawlers is a complete game with a beginning and an end, so we’ll be waiting for player feedback to see what needs to be added next.
It’s worth meioning that Vampire Survivors suddenly eered early access in December 2021 and became a huge hit a few mohs later. Its addictive simplicity, cute humor, and references to Castlevania made it popular, even though it bears no resemblance to that series in terms of gameplay. It is also said that the studio is working on a project related to the original Vampire Survivors sequel, but no information is available at the mome.
The game will be released in early to mid-2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Niendo Switch, PC, as well as Android and iOS. You can see the trailer and published images below.
