Emirates Airline is equipping its fleet with SpaceX’s Wi-Fi iernet service and providing this service for free to all passengers.
This feature will be available from this moh and the first example is currely on display at the Dubai Air Show. Visitors can board the same Boeing 777-300ER and experience the Iernet on the ground before post-show services begin. The exhibition ends on November 30.
It is noteworthy that Emirates offers Starlink Wi-Fi iernet to all passengers for free, and there is no need to be a member of the airline’s Skywards program.
The company plans to equip its eire fleet of 232 aircraft with Starlink technology in the next two years. This action will be carried out at a rate of about 14 planes per moh, including Airbus A380 planes. Due to its large size, the aircraft will receive three Starlink aennas to cover all cabins, while other aircraft such as the Boeing 777 will have two aennas. Installation of aennas on Airbuses is scheduled to begin in February 2026.
Starlink Wi-Fi Iernet creates the feeling of connecting to the normal Iernet and is not at all similar to the limited in-flight Iernet in most airplanes. This technology enables video streaming on devices with sufficie bandwidth for sharing.
Emirates has announced that live TV streaming via Starlink will be available first on personal devices and then on seatback screens from late December.
